The Earth Friendly Lolita Project is a non-profit campaign founded by two Filipina lolitas: Jaja and Abie.

Our mission is to extend our love with the beauty that is lolita into helping save what beauty is left with Mother Nature. In this blog, we will share every footstep we make on our fight to make the world a better place for us lolitas to live.

With this, we aim to bring inspiration and awareness to our fellow lolitas and to everyone who would want to take part with the fight.

The consumption of animals/sea-creatures itself is environmentally unfriendly in itself due to the devastation caused to the eco-systems as well as the water/electricity consumed in the processing/cleaning/distribution.

I really hope those mussel shells weren't left over from when you ate them. That in itself is a contradiction.

Not sure what your angle is there.

Hi there Anon, of course, they were left-overs. I didn’t dive and get it just to be able to make something out of it. Fortunately, we live near the coast. And we are surrounded by Oyster and Mussel shell farms — meaning, they were bred for food consumption. In the same way farmers breed cattle and chicken. The truth is, dumping waste is the most harmful way of devastating the environment. That’s why we utilize trash instead of just throwing it away.
